Random Happy Home

Dear friends, I really hope that the weather is good for you (wherever you are) and that you'll get to celebrate Easter on a Sunshine day. As for us, we are under 10 cm of snow :))) Never mind, this is bound to be the last snow of the season - and the optimist in me still thinks the snowflakes and the white roofs are beautiful!

Inside, everything stands still. I was much too quick to proclaim the re-birth of nature. Thank God for the beautiful flowers, they help me put on a smiling face each morning. And since winter is back and it looks like we are light-years away from the next summer, I just made a snowflake shape out of origami paper boats!

Looking around my little home from certain angles, it surely looks like a winter retreat. The big pillows are still stacked next to the teapot, the reindeer coasters (a Swedish gift from my mom) are more beautiful than ever and we use tea lights on the coffee table.

And I just can't finish this post without another look at the stunning orchids, so beautiful and majestic in their simplicity. They bloomed again a couple of weeks ago and  I can't seem to get enough of them. I hope you all have a great week and that your homes already receive plenty of sunshine!

My ass is melting here in Mexico! On Sunday I got a heavy sunburn in my shoulders just from taking a walk (ok,it was a long walk but common!!) Currently I can't even put my handbag on my shoulders cause it hurts! We should make a mix of our weathers...it'll be so fine! Love, from this part of the world :) Hope you get some sunshine soon!

    1. Don't be afraid of orchids! After they loose all the flowers, cut down the rod and put the plant in a dry and dark place, water scarcely. It will grow a new rod in about 6 months :)

    1. Sashka, you don't know how happy you made me, thank you! Retro 70's home is the best compliment for me (even if now I think my house is too mixed-up and no 70's vibe in it, anymore).

  19. My dear, the snow falls here too. It's very cold outside, as it seems January and not the end of March.
Your home looks great, I also love to try changing the objects and decoration as it seems to have always something new at home :)
    A big hug for you!
