My oh my, crochet is so relaxing! Can you guess what I am up to? A sweater...? Or maybe a scarf...? Hint, hint! Follow the colors in the picture below... They look kinda familiar, don't they? You're right, friends, if they remind you of my first crochet pillow... I am using the same colors for a very good reason. I am making a striped crochet pillow :)
I was so happy to see that lovely Erica from Caught On A Whim loved my triangle crochet pillow... so much that she made her own version, as you can see here. While my pillow had a simple back in solid color, she made her back side with crocheted stripes. Inspiration struck me, so now I'm making a matching striped pillow myself. I can't wait to finish it - hopefully before the summer heat strikes again :))
That is so pretty! Nice colors. I wish I know how to crochet!
ReplyDeleteMy mom used to knit (and she's a doctor). Crochet is very relaxing, just like drawing or playing an instrument :)
DeletePS: I learned to crochet from a YouTube video :))
Crochet is so relaxing, isn't it??!! I'm so excited you are gonna make a stripe pillow now too! I can't wait to see the result! :)

ReplyDeleteReally really really love your triangle cushion and those colours are so pretty together. I love to crochet too and you are right - its very relaxing. Once learned its so easy to get beautiful results and there's always only one stitch to drop!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ann! Now I am in a hurry (so to speak) because in the heat of summer my hands are sweaty on the yarn and can't get anything done...
DeleteYou are so right, Marlen - once I am finished, I can't wait to shoot the 2 crochet pillows side by side :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks very nice! Lovely picture of the crocket pillow with the lillac vase! :)
ReplyDeleteI bought the small lilac vase in a thrift shop in the same day the pillow was finished - the color was perfect!
