1000 kisses!

Yesterday, while doing my daily Pinterest routine, I accidentally saw how many followers there were on my boards. The number was exactly 1000. Yay, I've got 1000 followers on Pinterest - so I decided to have a little celebration. I've always chosen quality over quantity and I started pinning for myself and not for showing off. Still, let me send 1000 kisses to my dear followers, with whom I must be sharing great taste in design!

Pinterest is a great resource, so I'll use some of my pins as a teaser to what kind of Christmas decor I have in mind for next month! A grey blanket stands out with a little neon edge...

The most neutral wooden table goes wild with painted legs...

And the smallest pop of color brightens up the room...

so stay tuned because this neon inspiration has to go somewhere in my home. Soon!

Crochet stool inspiration

About a year ago, I got up one morning with the terrible, unexplained urge to crochet.
It was a sunny Saturday. What to do?
I went out and immediately bought some colored yarn and a shiny metal crochet.

But what to crochet?!
Than it hit me: the beautiful granny stools from Wood and wool stool:

and their crocheted cousins from all over the blogosphere:

So I went to my grandmother's house, grabbed the first stool that came into sight and made my own crochet stool. I shall post some pictures tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Vintage cabinet love

Remember my vintage cabinet post a little earlier? I'm sure not the only one to cherish such a heirloom. Even if your grandfather was an admirer of modern design and didn't leave you any old furniture, visit a garage sale and adopt an old dresser or something.
Look, mom:

Pink kitchen inspiration

Remember my pink kitchen with begonia post? There's nothing more refreshing than a happy color punch in the kitchen, to brake the winter blues! So I gathered up some more pink kitchens for you.
You may go with a strong tint, like I did...

You can take a leap into the future, like Karim Rashid does whenever he puts his genius to work...

Or you can choose a more soothing nuance, like this all time favorite Swedish kitchen from one of my favorite bloggers (Jenny from Dos Family)

And if you're hesitating about too much pink and what your man would say, go for just a window.

or paint the door...

or get some subtle accessories...

Anyway, I wish you a happy pink kitchen!
