The first purple iris flowers are sitting pretty in a deep cobalt blue bowl next to my bed. I don't wanna miss seeing them in the morning, that's why I put them on the pink nightstand. Purple, pink and orange - do you think that Spring is finally gonna come? A big hug to my friends in Italy (ciao Anna, Laura, Serena and Eva!) who are confronted with unusually cold weather and snow. And a humble thank you to all my other friends, who still visited even though I haven't had the time to get up to date with all that's happening in blogoland!
Iris is a beautiful flower :)
ReplyDeleteWe are so lucky to have it in the garden ... but we are working very to get it to bloom.
Have moved it two times, and believe we have found the solution.
It will not have as much nourishment and care.
Do smaching on your bedside table!
Janne
Yes, narcissus and iris are very difficult to grow. But tulips and hyacinths are very easy to have from bulbs :)
DeleteSuch gorgeous, gorgeous colors! Beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you like my technicolor on the nightstand :)
DeleteWhat a beautiful display of color! It's very charming and cheerful. And I love your framed butterfly hanging up on the wall :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Stephanie
Oh, Stephanie, thanks! I'm so happy that you noticed the butterfly, because it's one of my favorite decorations ever (even if just a few years ago I wouldn't have liked it at all)!
DeleteYour iris is just beautiful and looks lovely on your nightstand Meeha.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patty, I tried many times to grow potted iris of my own but it's difficult, so I'm enjoying these little beauties!
DeleteLove irissen. I do have them in my garden and in june they are beautiful!! White purple blue. These colors are so pretty! When they 'look' at me it gives me joy! So nice off you to put them beside your bed. What a great wake-up call!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week! Sweet greet Martine
Oh such lovely flowers and what a joy to wake up to that beautful sight! I have to say once again your night stand are amazing and it's really cool that they can be stacked, such a space saver :-) have a wonderful week and hope spring is coming your way :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Mette, I made the 3 stacking lucite tables myself (with a little help) and they also serve as coffee tables near the couch or end tables on the balcony - so they are a clever small space solution, indeed :)
Deletei love its color, indeed!
ReplyDeletethey grow wild around my home, I never guessed they are difficult to manage in garden or in a pot...
At least for me, it's difficult to grow them... but it's never difficult to look at them! Did you know that there are also yellow iris? And white, of course :)
DeleteI did see white at florist's, but never got to see yellow. I will keep my eyes wide open for them :)
DeleteWell, I only saw the yellow ones in the botanical garden. If I catch some yellow iris this spring, I'll take pictures for you :)
DeleteGorgeous and beautiful colors and display!! So lovely things to see first thing in the morning!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
vesna

DeleteYour colors are so fabulous and I don't blame you for not wanting to wake up without them!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, waking up next to the flowers is a real booster!
DeleteIt does look lovely Meeha, both the iris and the nightstand!!
