Look, there is a spotted pillow in the reading spot :)) Sorry, I just couldn't resist the pun. It looks like there are more doors than corners in my small apartment, because of the architecture itself and because I tore down some walls when I redecorated it. So the quiet corner is near the door, but who cares... I've assorted the Mad Hatter poster to a tiny lithography in the same colors. One big and one very small, I love the contrast between those two pieces of art on the white wall. Their vivid colors are completed by the earth tones of the wooden stool, the Ikea pillow and the pine wood door. Oh and I'm currently reading a SF novel by the Strugatsky brothers.
Ciao Meeha,
ReplyDeleteI love your fresh "composing", specially the black rug!!. You are also in my blog rol now!!
I decided to cancel my account with the Hellocotton platform because they have mix DIY and INTERIR DECOR together, too much confusion!. How can we compare our blogs with people who sew or crochet ago, or just post one photo!!.
It does not seem that interesting blogs who inspire, create trend in interior decor, that truly committed in their posts and blogs, giving a serious image of their work are, lost between three thousand DIY Blogs!. I can't see the talent of many blogger, is lost!!!.But thisis my own opinion.
Thats all,Meeha. Happy cold weekend!!!
Xoxo,Eva
So tough image on the wall, like the energy of the picture :)
ReplyDeleteAnd the chair .. WOW!
Wishing you a nice weekend
Janne
Janne, thank s so much for the great comment. So you like the retro white chair :) but the cats ruined it with their claws and I need to re-upholster it soon.
DeleteSuch a succesful combination of different styles, great job! (but I have to admit Johny Depp gives me the creeps in this poster)
ReplyDeleteThanks a million, Tina! The Mad Hatter poster is a little weird, but that's why I love it even more (big fan of Tim Buton here)
Deletelooks comfortable! I also like the mix of different styles you showed here. have a great weekend...
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ana, I guess my style is a mix of styles and no rules :))
DeleteWow Meehaa, SO stylish but yet so personal and outstanding! That's space is at least a million pins worthy! Thank you for sharing and your wondeful inspiration, you're so great!
ReplyDeleteMette, you are too kind! I'm so happy that you like the reading spot, perhaps we can see your corner as well, I'd like that very, very much :)
DeletePerfect composition, Meehaa! I love the colors, the elements, that door, and your photography!
ReplyDeleteThanks a million for visiting, Cristina! I must admit I am a little in love with the doors, too :)
DeleteSo beautiful! Love the contrasting colors of the art on the white wall, it makes it so interesting to look at! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the lovely comment, Olga! I switch my art very often, but this is one combo that I like very, very much...
DeleteI totally need a cozy reading spot like this. I have the most comfortable reading chair, however it is in the middle of my living room - not so cozy. PS. I love your Alice poster!
ReplyDeleteBig fan of Tim Burton here, Yelle (a good friend brought me this Mad Hatter poster all the way from London!). I think you can also make use of your gorgeous yellow chair for a cozy spot of your own :)
DeleteLovely combination of brown and white. Charming lamp and nice pillow! :) And I like the yellow cup!
ReplyDeleteLisa, you have a great eye for detail! The yellow cup is the "cherry on top" and it says "My everyday coffee"
DeleteWhat a gorgeous, gorgeous spot! you have such a talent when putting together these corners. it all just fits perfectly, and it always has an edge. Love the little lampshade! Actually, love all of it!
ReplyDeletehugs
Thank you so much, Jutta! I lately have developed a passion for putting a small lampshade on a tall floor lamp base.
Deleteyou are playing great with colors and objects, I love your style so much.
ReplyDeleteThank you, it's very nice to have you here :)
Deletei never would have guess that your apartment is tiny! it looks so spacious in the photos - a testament to your decorating skills xo
ReplyDeleteWell, I have a two bedroom flat of 720 square feet, but I live in the center of the city and apartments are always small in this area :)
DeleteGorgeous spot! I so love you decor instincts...:) Hugs from Mexico!
ReplyDeleteMany hugs back to you, sweet Andrea!
DeleteA quiet corner can find his way everywhere in a home.. I love the palette you choose, it's peaceful and reminds to the nature and woods. And the mad Hatter... a pinch of madness that never hurts!
ReplyDeleteTo quote from the book, "we are all mad here"... :)))
Deletethat's really not too small for city apartment. i live in just over 1000 sqft and it feels like it's only about 200 with my three boys!
ReplyDeleteOh, in that case, I live in a palace :))) I was under the impression that average US homes have 3000 sqft...
DeleteGorgeous space for reading. Best decoration of reading environment. The chair is looking goods. I deeply like it.
