First of all (and second! and third!) I have to thank you, friends, for the love and support! I was overwhelmed! I honestly didn't expect anyone to be aware of my post, after such a long absence! But it felt... heavenly! After reading all your comments, I made a promise to myself to post as much as I can from now on, in spite of the challenge of my second job. So let me start with my newest acquisition, pictured above: a granny lamp that all my friends hate and that I simply adore :))
Many of your comments mentioned the colors of my flat. As you know, I don't think at all about color, because to me, color has always been there, like... well, like the air! I just take it for granted. So this is a light and dark study of my small balcony, full of color, seen through the door from the living room. Complete with a checkered blanket under Madalina Andronic's lovely painting :)
I just took this photo this morning. Yesterday I had a terrible day at work and I was feeling miserable. My boyfriend knew that and he surprised me in the evening with the last pink peonies he could find in the market place. He was sad because the peonies looked kinda "plucked", so I shot them in the morning in order to show to the world their true beauty. The right bottom one was just a bud yesterday and it flourished over night!
And since this is MY blog and I do whatever I want to, let me add my love Anais to the party. I'm afraid I am still terribly in love with her, after all these years! All you pet lovers have to understand me, right? Just as she was napping in the warm morning light, all curled up on the Moroccan leather pouf, completely ignoring the rest of the world... I felt my heart shrinking with tenderness.
Last but not least, a fuzzy pic from the bedroom. I took it on a rainy day, just before I removed the plants from their winter shelter. I am pleased to report that we've had hot weather for the last month, so all my "silent green pets" reside happily on the balcony. Except those who cannot stand too much sun, which are still on the window sill in the bedroom. So long, friends, I've missed you more than I was aware of and it's great to share this with you again!
Cum să nu le placă, e adorabilă! Am văzut-o pe fb de la birou şi tare mi-a plăcut! :)
ReplyDeleteIar bujorii... îi simt de aici.
Noapte bună, draga mea. pup
ps.
foarte veselă dispoziţia ta din dormitor! :)
REVIN
DeleteYay welcome back! I love all your photos and I wish I could sleep the day away on a Moroccan foot stool ;)
ReplyDeleteIt feels so great to have you back. You were missed :)
ReplyDeleteLove your place, looks so calm and - happy!
How great is your BF, ha!
Hi Meeha!! Love your pretty home and your beautiful cat.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're back.
Happy Friday xox
I love that you call your plants your green pets :) I adore your granny lamp and normally I don't go for things like that but it looks so classic! Not too thrifty and its lovely in the place you put it. I've been trying to find the last bit of peonies but to no luck. You've got a good boyfriend who found them for you!
ReplyDeletePS. Is Anais names after Anais Nin?
ReplyDeleteI love your place! That 'love'-flamingo picture is adorable, I love it!
ReplyDeleteA cute lamp and delicate colors around. Pretty peonies you got! :) Lucky you! :) I like cats too. You asked a while ago, if the little kitten was mine, now we have decide to keep it. Me and my familily are very fond of her. Her name is Baghera. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is cosy in your bedroom with the reds, all the green plants in the window and other details. You know reds give energy .. and you maybe need it :)
Pretty pictures Meeha...bedroom looks so cozy and beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteThe lamp shade is adorable. I love it. The peonies are wonderful and it was so thoughtful of your boyfriend to look for them for you. How lucky you are to have a warm spring. Here we're having the coldest spring ever. It's 0°C this morning!
ReplyDeleteHi Michaela.
ReplyDeleteYou must be kiddding, I really needed some color fix after your absence it's SO great you're back! Amazing lampshade I love that one too. Oh so nice to have such a great and supportive boyfriend, the peonies are so beautiful. So precious moment with your Anais, our Monster also almost takes all my love :-) Thanks for wonderful moments and photos. Have a beautiful week and take good care of yourself my dear:-)
Just so you know..I kept clicking back here waiting for a new post. Now there are 2 within not too long. Happy Day. Don't make it so long next time...will ya! Even a picture that has a "Hi Nellie" note on the wall would suffice :). p.s...have I ever told you your style is fabulous? yep, pretty sure I have.
ReplyDeleteThat really is a granny lampshade - it shrieks of my granny's home long ago, so of course I love it too. I know how hard it is to find time for blogging - life conspires to keep me away from blogland too. But hey, I don't have much of an audience anyway and it doesn't really matter but even I feel guilty when I haven't posted for a while. But Meeha as you can see all your admirers are just happy to see you when you get here.
ReplyDeleteOh, Ann, thank you for the sweet words - and now I just found a tiny window so I'm posting a little something, again :)
Deletei love the affection you shared for your kitty. i have kids rather than pets and i often find my heart swelling with tenderness. those peonies are so beautiful. they don't look "plucked" to me at all.
